Last week, dad's health has turned pretty bad..
We've asked him to see the doctor and he would always find a good excuse to refuse us. Last Thurs. something changed his mind, he decided to change his mind...
He's been having diarrhea for a few weeks by now, and he's been coughing for a week ...he would sleep day in and day out still feeling tired.
So last Thurs. finally agreed to go to ER and have an emergency check-up. He has been diagnosed with bronchitis and he was asked to schedule another appointment to check whether there is anything wrong with my dad's intestine and stomach.
He went to see the Doc. this week again, and he has finally been informed that he should QUIT smoking otherwise it'll cause Respiratory failure then the worse case is that they'll have to cut a hole on my dad's throat and plug in the oxygen tube supplier through the hole then his lung. Wow..I didn't realize it's that serious until my mom told me what the Doc. described to me. After smoking 40 years, I guess now it is really the point where he really has to make up his mind.
Since yesterday, I don't see my dad with his cigarette ...so I assume it's a good start!
