Mommy's b-day

Last week on mom's birthday we had relatives over at our house from the States..
so mostly everyone forgot about it...
of course if we didn't forget...
we still won't have the opportunity to celebrate for mom..
however..we decided to celebrate for her yesterday..

B-day in our family doesn't mean much..
it's just another day to thanks God for what he has given and provided..
i think my mom's teaching is very good..
I really thanks her for that..
it's not the date of birthday that matters,
yet it is everyday that matters the most!

some people are looking forward to their birthday,
because they can get presents from their friends and relatives..
and people think of present as a way of showing their friendship...
if their friendship with the person is very good,
then the person should give a more expensive present..
i'd say....
this is not right..

mom's birthday wasn't really a big party thingy,
but surely was a happy moment for family to gather together
it's the moment I treasure and cherish the most..
because my parents are not around most of the time..
uncle's family and us,
we just sat and chatted the whole night..
aunt asked me whether i bought a gift for mom..
i said no...
mom doesn't need that..
i know mom would be very happy because she knows that we have the heart..

material is not what matters....
heart is what matters.....
i know my mom likes when I write cards to her..
and she'd put the cards in her room..

i think mom has taught me a good lesson on birthday since I was little....
it is a day to thanks God..
it is not a day to receive presents..
it is a day to cherish your time while you're with your family
it is not a day to party
it is a day to bless others and be blessed by others...

it takes time to realize it....
on that day expect what God wants to tell you...
not on people~ ^.<
